I'm guessing that by "flat" you might be referring to the lighting technique used, but "weird" is a fairly non-constructive comment that doesn't help much.
Since we post here for constructive criticism purposes, please feel free to elaborate if you have constructive comments that will be helpful.
Please keep in mind that there are many viewers of varying degrees of talent and experience that read (and hopefully will participate) in this forum. "Weird" is the type of comment that may make the less than confident new professional hesitant to participate in this forum.
Just MHO.

I think you've got some really nice images to work with, I do agree that some are a bit flat. Flat refers to the lighting and conversion being a bit muddy, not enough contrast and oomph. A boost in conrast and curves would solve that problem for you, but you really do have a nice start.  __________________ Bethany Farrell-Menchaca
