this is so frustrating. I have had 2 customers not place their order on time. I let them view the images for 14 days. Well both customers said they needed more time....well every time I asked they need more time. It was two months on one and 1 month on another...now they did both order more than I ever had anyone order but still....I need to be more pushy I guess to get them to order in the 14 days. __________________ Olivia

I sell business forms and marketing materials, and this is all very very well laid out in my forms. My clients sign a contract included in my business policies that states the time limit, which is 5 days to view and order, as well as the policy if they do not order. I have a minimum order they must meet as well. If they do not order in the time given, the session is shut down and it is $25 to repost and order after the cut off. I can extend it without a problem for a day or two, but I let them know in advance I have a very busy schedule, so to maintain the same amount of attention for each client I have to stay on task. __________________ Bethany Farrell-Menchaca

Reply with quote | #3 | I started using a deadline for ordering. It keeps things flowing and the client knows upfront that they will not be able to take forever to order. If an order is not placed within 3 weeks, the session is purged from the system. If they need more time, we need to get together in person so I can help them with their needs. Sometimes it's not that they don't want to order or are just dragging their feet, they honestly don't know what to order. Getting together in person eliminates this problem. Studio policies are presented up front when they book their session. (Whether you really delete the pictures or not is up to you). As much as I hate online viewing, I know that it is a convenience that some clients prefer. But, making an ordering appointment at the session makes things much easier. __________________ Kelly
